Dstillery, the leading applied data science company serving the marketing & advertising industry, has promoted Melinda Han Williams to Chief Data Scientist. At the helm, Williams will continue to lead Dstillery’s world-class Data Science & Analytics team, driving strategic company initiatives, product innovation and bridging the industry’s thought leadership gap around the power of data science, artificial intelligence and machine learning for brand marketers and insights professionals.

“Big data is rapidly transforming advertising and marketing, and CMOs now know that to win, their competitive advantage needs to be anchored in a wide data-driven moat,” said Michael Beebe, Dstillery CEO. “Melinda leads the industry’s most sought after data science team of experienced researchers, engineers, and analysts who extract actionable, bespoke insights for brands from massive quantities of observed behavioral and first party data. As AI becomes an even bigger component of every brand’s marketing plan, there is no doubt in my mind that Melinda’s focus on the customer, technical excellence and talent for data-driven storytelling will accelerate Dstillery’s ability to deliver the kinds of insights that marketers need to bring consumer engagement to a whole new level.”

Under Williams’ leadership, Dstillery’s Data Science & Analytics team will continue to push machine learning and AI innovation, providing deep domain expertise and best practices to support the company’s expanding portfolio of audience insights, data and media activation solutions. For more than a decade, the team has worked hand in hand with Dstillery’s engineering team to build world-class technology that predicts consumer behavior and identifies brands’ most high value consumers from the industry’s largest and most granular data set of consumer interactions.

This Chief Data Scientist role signals Dstillery’s continued commitment to data science as a powerful force in helping our clients better find, understand and message their current and future customers. I’m excited to advance industry discourse and the company’s role within it as the data science leader.”
